We visualize all of Hawaii's adults, adolescents and children to have optimal physical and mental health; where mental health, substance abuse, dependency and addiction are recognized as health issues; and where stigma and other barriers to recovery are eliminated.
To provide the highest quality mental health and substance abuse treatment services that are culturally appropriate to Big Island adults, adolescents and children.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY: INTRODUCING THE "ALAHELE MENTORING PROGRAM"
(Alahele means "pathway")
A critical component of sustainable recovery is helping clients to find a new path in life. Unique in our approach to treatment, LTC has integrated the best practice of mentoring, which is utilized to empower clients to reach their full potential. While clients are on their journey to health and wellness, they will have a mentor that can provide them with on going support towards education, job training, and employment. This program is voluntary and available to all LTC clients at any level of care.
